Todd Jennings: Personal Builder in the Northland

From the architect who draws the plan to the carpenter who installs the final hardware, there are a lot of people behind the homes at Summit. At the center of it all, is the Personal Builder, orchestrating every step of the process. Meet Todd Jennings, the Personal Builder in the Kansas City Northland, managing communities like Hawksbury, Northfield Village and Chapel Ridge. 

Todd has been with Summit Homes since May of 2017 but has been in the industry a long before that. He graduated from Missouri Western University with a degree in Agri Business in 1985. From there, he moved to Colorado and started in the field doing concrete flatwork for commercial and residential properties.  He moved back to Missouri in 1989 and has been working in residential construction ever since. 

He credits his years of experience in mastering the right way to build a home. "It's all in the details and staying on top of your schedule," Todd said. Building on that knowledge, Todd tries to build each home as if it were his own.

When he's not managing the construction site, he spends a lot of his free time with his wife, Alycia, running around after his two children, Elise (12) and Dayton (2). On a good day, he is barbequing and enjoying the outdoors.
