Our Building Process
Meet Your Team
You'll have an entire team of people dedicated to bringing your new home dreams to reality, including your Personal Builder and Community Manager. Whether on-site or at the office, your team will be on hand to answer questions and keep you posted on your home's progress.
Personalize Your Home
During your design appointment, our Designers will help you choose all interior and exterior finishes. From kitchen cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, paint colors, lighting, bathroom and kitchen faucets – our designers will walk you through each selection of your new home. Our team knows these products inside and out and will help review the features and benefits of each option.
Now that your plan is finalized, you and your Personal Builder will meet and conduct a comprehensive review of your final plans and specifications as well as the building process itself. You will discuss such things as site visit protocols, how to handle questions, trade contractor communication, and target delivery date.
You will meet your Personal Builder at your home. This meeting provides all of us with an opportunity to confirm that we are correctly installing your options and selections. We also have a chance to showcase the quality that we build into the walls of your home prior to sheetrock. We will also update you on the target delivery date.
New Home Orientation
Your Personal Builder will introduce you to your new home and its many features. We will walk through the home to confirm the installation of selections and condition of cosmetic surfaces. Your Personal Builder will also review key maintenance points to ensure you have years of satisfactory homeownership. Finally, we will discuss planned warranty visits and reporting procedures.
Welcome Home Celebration
At this meeting which takes place one day before closing, we will celebrate the delivery of a 100% completed home to you. If any items were noted for repair at the New Home Orientation, this is the opportunity to ensure all work is completed to your satisfaction. The goal of this meeting is to ensure you go to closing as a satisfied Summit Homes homeowner. You are also introduced to our Customer Care team for any ongoing support.
