Energy Efficiency

Introducing Our Energy Star® Certified Homes

We are excited to announce that our homes are now Energy Star® certified, representing a significant leap forward in sustainable living. Our new construction specifications ensure that each home is built with meticulous attention to energy efficiency, starting with the structural envelope featuring 2x6 exterior walls and Grade 1 insulation throughout, including roof trusses designed for optimal attic insulation and R-19 floor rims. Mechanical equipment is carefully selected for maximum efficiency, with 14 Seer AC units, 96% efficiency furnaces, and Energy Star® Rated Mechanical Ventilation. LED lighting, dimmer switches, hybrid recirculating heat pump water heaters, and third-party inspections to ensure maximum quality control are just a few of the features contributing to reduced energy consumption. With options for electric vehicle charging and future solar panel installations, our homes are not just efficient; they're future-proof. Additionally, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond energy efficiency with locally sourced materials and value-engineered home plans.

Join us in creating homes that are not only environmentally responsible but also save you up to $1800 annually compared to the average US home. Welcome to a new era of sustainable living with our Energy Star® Certified homes.

    Features

    Structural Features

The 2x6 exterior walls provide greater structural strength and insulation capacity, enhancing your new home's durability and energy efficiency. Additionally, the extensive use of R-21 and R-49 insulation, third-party inspections, and optional insulation for garage areas ensures superior thermal performance, minimizing heat loss and reducing energy costs for a comfortable living environment year-round. Here is a breakdown of all the new  structural features:

    - The exterior walls are 2x6 in size.

    - R-21 batt insulation is used for insulation purposes.

    - The attic has R-49 insulation with an approximate depth of 16" of blown-in insulation.

    - R-19 batt and foam combination is used to achieve insulation on floor rims.

    - The floor systems above the garage have R-30 insulation

    - The unfinished foundation walls have R-11 vinyl-backed blankets

    - The finished foundation walls have 2x4 walls furred out with R-13 batts for insulation.

    - A third-party insulation inspection ensures Grade 1 (highest) quality is achieved.

    - Insulating garage doors, walls, and ceiling is an option.

    LED LIGHTING with Dimmable Switches

Our homes are 100% LED, making your home extremely energy efficient by consuming up to 90% less power than incandescent bulbs. Dimmer switches are a great way to save energy as they reduce the flow of electricity to the bulb, allowing the lights to operate with lower power outputs. This not only helps to save on your electricity bill but also extends the lifespan of your bulbs as they are under less stress. With dimmer switches, you can enjoy a longer-lasting, energy-efficient lighting solution for your home.

96% EFFICIENCY FURNACE AND 14 SEER AC

A furnace with an AFUE of 96 would lead to heating bills that are 16% lower than a furnace with an AFUE of 80. Having a 14 SEER unit can help you save money on cooling your home.

Hybrid Recirculating Heat Pump Water Heater

Heat pumps are significantly more energy efficient than standard hot water heaters because instead of using energy to generate new heat, they collect existing ambient warmth and transfer it to the water. This efficiency can save you hundreds of dollars on energy bills each year.

    ENERGY STAR® RATED APPLIANCES

Energy Star® certified appliances help you save money on operating costs by reducing energy use without sacrificing performance.
