Commitment to Community
We are dedicated to building and supporting strong communities in Kansas City and throughout the United States. Directed by our employee-led Charitable Giving Committee, we contribute time and resources to charitable endeavors focused on empowering communities and helping children and those who are unable to help themselves. It is our privilege and our responsibility to support organizations that are making a remarkable difference.
Drumm Farm Center for Children
Drumm Farm Center for Children is a special place that children and young adults in Missouri's foster care system can call home. Drumm Farm provides programs and services that support forever family environments, emotional and physical well-being, educational opportunities and personal growth. We have supported the work of Drumm Farm Center for Children since 2012. In 2014, our architects donated their time and talents to provide Drumm Farm with a comprehensive design for the planned expansion of their campus. We are proud to continue aiding Drumm Farm in their mission to help children in foster care, homeless young adults and those aging out of foster care build successful lives.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Kansas City
Boys and Girls Club provides a fun, safe environment for kids to learn, play and grow. They are leaders in providing development opportunities for youth from disadvantaged circumstances in areas such as career development, leadership, healthy lifestyles and technology. The club is open before and after school, snow days and some holidays, providing a positive outlet for those children who would otherwise be left home alone. The Summit team is proud to support opportunities provided by the Clubs. Since 2015 we have provided financial aid and resources for the continued upkeep of the organization’s facilities and programming. We also host students for an annual Summit Day allowing the kids to see the inner workings of new construction.
Wayside Waifs
Wayside Waifs is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. Wayside is the largest pet adoption campus in Kansas City and has placed thousands of animals in loving forever homes. Wayside does not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for animals in our care. Only animals suffering from significant medical issues or those that pose a danger are humanely euthanized. Wayside Waifs is proud to be a part of Kansas City's no kill community.
Harvesters – The Community Food Network
Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 26-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. They provide food and related household products to more than 620 not-for-profit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, and children’s homes. We are proud to aid Harvester’s in their mission by contributing our financial support of their programs and by volunteering our time and energy individually and together as a team to help sort and package food to be disbursed to those in need.
