As many of you already know, we are proud to support
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by
building a home each year to be raffled off in the
Dream Home Giveaway. But did you know we also participate in the
St. Jude Give thanks. Walk? This year's walk is right around the corner. On Saturday, November 22, we will be joining thousands of people in more than 65 communities across the country to raise awareness and funds to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.
There is still time to register for the event, and we'd love to have you
join our team! Even if you can't walk with us next week, you can still join as a "virtual walker" and help us raise money for the kids of St. Jude. Registering is easy and completely FREE, and St. Jude has many tools available to help make fundraising simple and fun. Check out the video below to see what this family-friendly event is like.
The
Kansas City Give thanks. Walk. will take place at 10:00 AM in the Power and Light District at the intersection of Truman and Grand Blvds. Check-in for walkers begins at 9:00 AM.

At St. Jude, no family ever receives a bill for medical care, food, transportation, or housing while their child receives treatment at the hospital. To make this possible, St. Jude relies on donations from people like us, and every little bit helps. Here are some ideas of what your donation will provide:
$3 - Help provide pediatric isolation masks to help protect patients with compromised immune systems.
$7 - Help provide a blank medical teaching doll that helps patients understand medical treatment and procedures.
$10 - Help provide a new toy for hospital play areas ot recreational areas at St. Jude housing facilities.
$30 - Help provide a St. Jude family with meals for one day in the Kay Kafe, the St. Jude cafeteria.
$100 - Help provide a platelet count test for two patients: Platelet counts are among the tests doctors use to monitor patient health during treatment.
$250 - Help provide one red blood cell transfusion: Children undergoing treatment for cancer and other deadly diseases often need transfusions.
