The 2014 St. Jude Dream Home at Chapman Farms - take a peek inside!
September 29, 2014
The 2014 St. Jude Dream Home at Chapman Farms has been open for a few weekends now, and we've been having tons of fun working with the folks from St. Jude and getting to meet so many people who have come to check out the house. The fall Parade of Homes kicked off this past weekend, and the Dream Home is now going to be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until the end of the parade on Sunday, Oct. 12. We are looking forward to stepping up our campaign to support the kids of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and having the chance to meet even more of you!
Curious to find out what exactly goes into a Dream Home? Check out the photos below for a sneak peek inside and to learn a little more about what the home has to offer.
The home is located at 8808 SE 1st Street, Blue Springs, Mo., in The Shores at Chapman Farms community, on the east side of 7 Highway just north of Colbern Rd in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
The community at Chapman Farms offer numerous amenities to homeowners, including a lake.
The home features a "Turnberry" floor plan and offers a spacious 4,088 square foot layout.
The kitchen includes custom cabinetry and granite counter tops, as well as stainless steel appliances and a walk-in pantry.
The main level has 10 ft. ceilings, hardwood floors, and a fireplace flanked by custom built-in shelving.
The home also includes a finished lower level with recreational room, designer wet bar, and a concrete storm shelter.
For the third year in a row, we were able to build a home for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway at zero cost, which means that absolutely all of the materials and labor that went into the home were donated by some very generous trade sponsors. The full list of this year's sponsors is on display on the upper level of the Dream Home, along with a gallery of artwork created by patients at St. Jude.

There are still tickets available for the giveaway of the St. Jude Dream Home at Chapman Farms! You can reserve your $100 ticket in person at the Dream Home, online, or by calling 800.385.9756.
Proceeds from ticket sales for the 2014 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway will help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital continue to lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. No family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, housing, travel, or food, because the family of a sick child should only worry about helping their child live.
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway has become one of the largest single-event fundraisers for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital nationwide. Because a majority of St. Jude funding comes from individual contributors through programs like this one, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation.
The drawing to determine the lucky winner of this year's Dream Home will take place on Oct. 12, which is also the last day of the Parade of Homes.
The team here at Summit Custom Homes is happy for the opportunity to support the wonderful work being done at St. Jude, and we are very excited to share the Dream Home with you during the Fall Parade of Homes. We can't wait to see you out there!
