We put the Customer Experience first!

July 13, 2021

What a crazy year it has been! Low mortgage rates, high demand and residual supply chain challenges from COVID-19 continue to impact the home building industry. Nearly every component of a new home has risen in price. Many builders have had to go back to their home buyers and ask for more money.

Summit Homes is not going to do that.

We looked at the current 200+ families that are building with us and decided that as an organization, we will take a $1.5 million dollar loss in material costs. We are in a unique position at Summit to be able to take on this obstacle as an organization and not pass the burden along to our buyers. That comes to an average of $8,000 to $10,000 per family that would have been impacted.

But what does this mean for families still looking for their new home?

You can rest easy! From now on, any home buyer that chooses to buy with Summit will experience the same reassurance that additional material costs will not be collected after contract.

We are making a commitment to you, and if we can find a way to make the home buying experience better, then we’re going to do it.

When you chose Summit, you can expect open and continual communication. We want all sides to go into this partnership fully aware of the situation and the process. It's just another way Summit cares.
