Lately at Summit Custom Homes

Hi there! We haven't posted an update about what's going on at Summit Custom Homes in a while, so figured it was time! We have been quite busy around here - Spring is a fun time in the home building industry because people really get out and about to shop for their dream home. SO, we have been hard at work building and selling homes, of course, but we have been doing a few other things, as well! Here's a recap of the past few months.

In the past few months, we won some exciting awards.

We were recently ranked by the Kansas City Business Journal on their "Top Area Private Companies" list:

And on the Business Journal's "Fast 50: Fastest Growing Area Businesses" List:

AND we were named on the "Champions of Business" list, also by the Business Journal:

The Parade of Homes ended May 11, and we brought home four awards for our entries. This was a fun opportunity for a large part of our team to get together and celebrate the hard work we put into the event!

You can see a full list of the awards we have won in 2014 here. We are SO PROUD of all of these recognitions! It’s an exciting time to be in the home building industry, and our growth just adds to that excitement. We have a hard working, professional, experienced team and exceptional trade and realtor partners who have dedicated themselves to making this a great company. We also have our homeowners to thank. We know that we are in the business of bringing dreams to reality, and we don’t take that lightly. It is our mission to exceed our customer’s expectations. Our homeowners are what matter the most, and they hold us to a high standard!

 

 We also have been working REALLY hard on the 2014 St. Jude Dream Home.

We just recently hosted a Floor Signing event at the home:

Blue Springs Mayor Carson Ross even came out to show his support and put his mark on the Dream Home!

Tickets for the home went on sale TODAY (June 11, 2014). Only 7,500 will be sold and, other than the chance to win the Dream Home (of course!), people who purchase a ticket will also have the chance to win one of a bunch of other REALLY great prizes. You can view all of those here.

We are opening new phases in a couple of our communities.

New models (including a new sales center!) are being built in the Lee's Summit community of Parkwood at Stoney Creek:

Even with all of that going on, we had a chance to take a break and spend a day (with the whole Summit team!) at Kaufman Stadium watching the Royals play:
