Summit Dedicates two Raising Hope KC rooms for Care Beyond the Boulevard

February 1, 2023

Kansas City, MO – February 2023 – Last week, Summit Homes presented Care Beyond the Boulevard representatives with two renovated rooms at the Lotus Care House of Kansas City. Care Beyond the Boulevard partnered with Lotus House to use their rooms for medical respite. Summit utilized its expertise and connections in the industry to completely renovate these rooms for adults experiencing homelessness when they are discharged from the hospital and have nowhere to go to recover. Care Beyond the Boulevard had individuals waiting to use the rooms that day.

Summit team members, Care Beyond the Boulevard representatives, and Lotus Care House gathered at the 2023 Raising Hope KC project site in Kansas City, Missouri, to present the project.

“Our team is thrilled to complete this project as our eleventh charitable campaign here in Kansas City. We’re proud to support Care Beyond the Boulevard and their efforts to provide safety and comfort to those that need it most in our community,” says Zalman Kohen, Chief Executive Officer of Summit Homes.

Summit Homes partners with their network of local trade companies on materials and labor to complete this project as close to zero cost. This year, local trades include Ferguson, RMS, Northcraft, Pancho Valencia Construction, Frontier Restoration, Hutton Glass, Integrity Operations, Caruthers, McCray Lumber, SCI, Nobel Sheetrock, G-Force Construction Clean and REW Materials.

“We have an incredible group of trade partners who came together with our Summit team to complete this renovation. Without their support, this project would not be possible, and it’s amazing to see our trades’ dedication when it comes to our charitable giving projects,” says Kohen.

Care Beyond the Boulevard (CBB) began as a volunteer-based mobile clinic delivering high-quality healthcare to the homeless and other patients who lack access to these services. Their vision is to provide medical and mental care despite adverse financial or social circumstances. CBB has registered over 1000 patients and treats a variety of needs.

We are very grateful for the support we have received through Summit Homes," said Jaynell “KK” Assmann, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Care Beyond the Boulevard.  "This

The contribution significantly impacts the Lotus Care House project, and we are truly grateful for the great assistance from the Summit team members and their trade partners."

Summit Homes is known for the generous support of charitable organizations throughout the metro. Directed by Summit team members, the Charitable Giving Committee focuses on initiatives whose goals align with their own; empowering communities and helping children and those unable to help themselves.

“We’re proud to support so many organizations in Kansas City. It is our privilege and responsibility to do our part in helping these organizations that are making a remarkable difference in our community,” said Kohen.
